Eversince the beginning of 2007, when we started booking the venue for wedding, i was thinking.. still long lah... one year more to go... but time flies so fast lor... half a year was gone... now thinking only left half a year more... many ppl asking how's my preparation? Hmmm.. i feel its still quite long towards my big day... i nvr prepare anything yet... keke...
i ever buy few magazines on bridal to look out for designs for my wedding gown... i flip n flip... ok lah... got see some nice gowns... but lazy me, didnt even bother to do research n tidy up the pictures.... then in may, the worst of all is when i went to choose my gown, i forgot to bring my magazines there... totally nil... then i told yong... haha... think hor... i really boh liao to buy magazines... flip thru but didnt even borthered... but luckily, i still managed to choose a gown on the rack... the lady who serves me is good oso... cos she patient n let me try a lot of gowns... keke... i find the wedding gowns ok... i chose 3 but in the end, i took the first one tat i feel suits me... but for evening gown, i got problems wif it lor... initially i saw a red colour one... i feel its nice... but i dun wan red... but i dunno wat kind i wan... they have a lots... but i feel its like quite simple n plain... which i dun like... its just like normal evening gown u get outside to wear to attend wedding dinner kind... so i choose n choose... end up, i still take back the red colour one... so whoever will be attending my wedding, will see how red i m... hope it still suits me lor...
Then for my wedding bands, i went to fairy inc... i went there in March i think... n started the ring making in April... n 2 weeks ago, i just went for the fitting... so maybe tis sat or next week can collect already... my wedding bands cost abt $1630... i didnt took the traditional kind of silver... i took black n rose gold instead... i havent get to see my ring yet.. hope it turns out nice...
My photoshooting will be on 9 July 2007 (Outdoor) & 14 July 2007 (Indoor)... i still dunno my outdoor shooting will be confirmed at Batam or not lor... cos the lady says most likely... alamak... dunno where they going to bring me to... cos we wanted to take the parasailing shots.. so we need to go out of singapore... good oso lah... at least not in singapore... keke... although not those european countries, but i think wedding already spent a lot.. so got to save on tis...
Another thing i spend a lot is my wedding shoes... initially i went to Leapin' Lizard in March, then i saw a pair of silver heels which i find it not bad... but its not tailormade kind, its on the rack shoes... then i told myself aiya dun need come early... i will be back maybe in may or june... then tuesday i went, the lady ask me for my gown, m i wear long or short one? then i say long one... then she say i cannot take tis pair cos the heels will cause me to trip n fall easily... then of cos i dun wan... so i ask her abt the tailormade shoes... then she says need one month for no additional charge... then i say but my photoshooting on 9 July leh... meaning i need to collect my shoes on 6 July... then she says got express charges.... oh shit mann... i should have come earlier lor... dunno i m doing lor... the express charges is $25... then i ask her for the shoes price... the basic shoes is $70.. plus a row of crystals is $30... n i need 2 rows... so my shoes cos $155... which is so ex... but no choice le... cos i have no time to get a pair of nice shoes le... so no choice...
For my bridal package, we sign up with Mr & Miss Wedding Club... we signed up last year... our initial package was $2488... then we add on $300 for the outdoor shooting at batam... so it adds up to $2788 for now... i m wondering... how much will it goes up to when we choose photos... haha... the most, we are only willing to spend $700 more the most... i dun wan to spend too much on photos liao... keke...
For my venue, in jan, we choose a few... initially we wanted to choose Mt Faber Safra... cos the package they offer us is good... but then, the location is a bit inconvenient... so we went to look at Holiday Inn Park View... I like the location... but then the place too small, only can accomodate up to 32 tables... but i might have 40 tables... so cannot... then we went to Holiday Inn Atrium... the ballroom looks ok... the price oso ok... but the location is a problem oso.. but initially we thot of just take dun wan to consider too much... but then the lady named Annie... think she's busy n no time to entertain us... so we went on to look for others... actually initially i been thinking of getting Swissotel Merchant Court... cos i worked there before, n i find it more meaningful... but very ex... so we drag n drag... then one day i decided to ask again.. since my brother working there now, so i wan ask if can get any discount... but dun have... very sad lor... my table cost $858 leh... but the only good thing is they gave us the poolside for our solemnisation... which is the poolside is the factor i wan to take merchant court... cos i like the poolside... so ended up, we took merchant court... *hope i dun suffer too much loss*
